Rev. Dr. Orville Plummer

About Me

Rev. Dr. Orville Plummer was educated at the Glenmuir High School, Jamaica Theological Seminary, the University of the West Indies (UWI), and Delaware State University, where he earned a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership.

Dr. Plummer is an ordained Bishop of the New Testament Church of God and has served in a number of capacities over the past 29 years. These include Pastor, District Overseer, National Director of Youth and Christian Education and National Director of Ministerial Care and Development. He currently serves the New Testament Church of God as its National Secretary-Treasurer.

Dr. Plummer is the founder of the East Kingston Ministerial Fraternal and Co-Founder of the Montego Bay- Bethel Bible College Extension. He is a 2010 awardee of the Gleaner’s prestigious Silver Pen Award for his outstanding article, “The Value of Collaboration and Consensus”. Dr. Plummer currently serves the wider Jamaican church community as the Country Representative for Every Home for Christ, a worldwide ministry that equip churches with resources for Prayer, Evangelism, Christian Education, Mentorship, Leadership and Humanitarian Aid.

Dr. Plummer is committed to the field of education and training and has served as an educator at a number of high schools across the island. He also served the HEART/NSTA Trust in a number of strategic and senior management positions.

Dr. Plummer is a Justice of the Peace, a Marriage Officer, and Vice Chairman of the Cedar Grove Academy. He is married to Paula for 25 years. They are the proud parents of three sons. Having regards to his wide experiences and giftedness, Dr. Plummer can be aptly described as a committed Christian, an effective pastor teacher, an educator, a mentor, a strategic thinker, a gifted administrator, and a transformational leader.
